In the fast-paced and often demanding world of ministry, emotional and spiritual fatigue is a reality many servants of God quietly endure. Recognizing this, the Biblical Leadership Equipping School for Servants (BLESS) is hosting a timely seminar titled “Mental Health for Ministry Workers: Balancing Ministry Demands with Emotional and Spiritual Wellbeing” on November 8, 2025 (Saturday), at the BreadCom Quezon City Ministry Center, facilitated by Ptr. Roy B. Macaraig, MAPC, AGCCCC.

Why This Seminar Matters

Ministry is both a divine calling and a deeply human task. The weight of pastoral care, leadership expectations, and personal responsibilities can easily lead to burnout. This seminar seeks to equip ministry workers, church leaders, and Christian servants with biblical, theological, and psychological tools to maintain healthy emotional and spiritual lives while serving others.

What to Expect

Through a balance of teaching, discussion, and personal reflection, Ptr. Roy Macaraig will guide participants through five key sessions:

  1. Understanding Ministry Demands and Common Challenges
Explore the unique pressures of ministry and learn how to recognize signs of emotional exhaustion and burnout from both psychological and theological perspectives.
  2. Biblical and Reformed Foundations for Emotional and Spiritual Wellbeing
Discover how the Reformed understanding of personhood and vocation calls for balance between caring for others and caring for oneself—anchored in the rhythms of Sabbath rest and community life.
  3. Practical Strategies for Balancing Ministry and Wellbeing
Learn practical tools for boundary-setting, emotional self-care, and spiritual renewal through prayer, Scripture meditation, and healthy discipline.
  4. Interactive Workshop: Developing a Personal Wellbeing Plan
Participants will create a personalized plan for emotional and spiritual health, assess their current ministry load, and commit to sustainable rhythms of work and rest.
  5. Theology, Hope, and Sustaining Ministry
Find renewed hope in the biblical truth that self-compassion, rest, and reliance on God’s grace are not signs of weakness but vital expressions of faithful service.

BLESS’ Ongoing Commitment

BLESS remains committed to equipping leaders who are Christ-centered, Compassionate, and Competent. This seminar is part of its continuing effort to address not only the theological depth but also the emotional and spiritual resilience of today’s ministry workers.
