Sermon Preparation and Delivery

June 15 – Aug 17, 2023 (Thurs, 6-9 pm)

10 sessions via Zoom

Course Description:

This course will introduce and guide the students to understand, prepare and deliver Expository Messages. It will equip them to move from exegesis to exegetical outline and develop relevant Christ-centered messages. The students will work on sample Bible passages and given pointers in preparing, preaching and evaluating expository sermons.

Course Objectives:
  • To develop a biblical understanding of preaching and its role in the life of the church.
  • To equip students with the necessary skills to prepare and deliver effective sermons.
  • To provide opportunities for students to practice and receive feedback on their sermon preparation and delivery.
  • To cultivate a sensitivity to the needs of the congregation and the wider community in our sermon preparation.
  • To encourage students to reflect on their preaching and engage in ongoing learning and growth.
