Celebrating Reformation Day 2024: A Milestone of Faith and Unity

October 27, 2024, marked a truly memorable Reformation Day as we gathered to celebrate the 507th year of the Reformation. This year’s theme centered on inspiration, renewal, and unity, echoing the timeless message of God’s grace and truth. It was a day to reflect on our faith and the significance of the Reformation in shaping our beliefs and practices.

Rev. Lawrence Delos Trinos: A Call to Unity

Rev. Lawrence Delos Trinos delivered a powerful message titled “Unity in Christ”. He challenged us with a thought-provoking question: “How can we demonstrate our unity with Christ as the body of Christ?”

He emphasized two key points:

  1. Being His Representative – As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His love, truth, and grace in our everyday lives.
  2. Serving Him – Our unity is displayed through acts of service, showing our commitment to His kingdom.

Rev. Delos Trinos illustrated these principles with inspiring examples from the congregation, highlighting acts of service such as outreach programs and community initiatives. He also invited members to join a community service day, fostering unity through collective action. His message reminded us to embody the spirit of the Reformation in our daily lives and remain steadfast in living out our faith.

Rev. Dr. Zuriel Bernardino’s Vision Casting

Another highlight of the day was the inspiring vision casting by Rev. Dr. Zuriel Bernardino. He laid out a 10-year roadmap for growth and ministry, focusing on church planting and equipping the next generation of leaders. He emphasized the importance of embracing technological advancements to reach younger generations and enhance community engagement.

Rev. Dr. Bernardino’s roadmap included successful case studies of church plants in other regions, providing practical strategies and hope for the future. His vision challenged us to step forward in faith and be active participants in building God’s kingdom.

This year’s Reformation Day was made even more special as we celebrated the graduation of four students from the Biblical Leadership Equipping School for Servants (BLESS). These graduates received their Certificate in Christian Ministry, a testament to their dedication and commitment to serving the Lord.

Their journey is an inspiration, reminding us that God equips those who are willing to answer His call. We pray for their continued growth as they step into new roles of leadership and service.

Looking Ahead

Reformation Day 2024 was not just a celebration of the past but also a hopeful look toward the future. As a community, we are reminded of our shared mission to be united in Christ, grounded in His Word, and active in His service.

The theme of unity resonated throughout the event, from shared experiences to small group discussions. These discussions fostered new ministry initiatives, empowering members to collaborate and address community challenges. This day was a call to action, urging us to live out the principles of the Reformation in meaningful ways.
